Ship of fools, Zaandam (Netherland)
This proposal for the future of the green peninsula on the Zaan river is based on the vision that this area is public space in the middle of the river. Because of this vision, it should be used for public uses rather than housing areas. Also, this introvert location could become a site for alternative energy production to include windmills, wind energy research centre and wind-recreation complex. The peninsula also becomes a stop for ferries with visitors who cross the river from the train station to the touristy Zaanse Schans.
